Friends of Elizabeth II Board of Directors
The Friends of Elizabeth II is a non-profit organization funded through donations, memberships and profits from the Roanoke Island Festival Park Museum Store. The organization was formed in 1982 to research, construct, maintain and operate Elizabeth II, and to research and disseminate information about the ship and early English settlements in America.
The Friends were instrumental in the expansion of the Elizabeth II State Historic Site to Roanoke Island Festival Park, and subsequently expanded their mission to support the history, performing and visual arts found at Festival Park.
